Do You Agree with the NFL for Cracking Down on Falcons for Crowd Noise?p

It looks like the NFL is expected to suspend the Atlanta Falcons $350,000 and take a fifth round draft pick in the 2016 draft for piping in crowd noise for home games during the last two seasons. Falcons’ general manager Rich McKay will be suspended three months from the NFL Competition Committee beginning April 1.blank and mckay

While the order to pump loud noise into the Georgia Dome came from Falcons’ wide receiver Roddy White, McKay and others overseeing game operations should bear some responsibility for making sure employees follow league rules. Hence, the suspension to McKay.

The NFL is sending a strong message that teams who try to use artificial crowd noise to give them an advantage will be punished.

Falcons’ owner Arthur Blank said he will not appeal the NFL’s decision and has taken steps to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Blank shared the following thoughts.

“What took place was wrong and nowhere near the standards by which we run our business. Anytime there are actions that compromise the integrity of the NFL or threaten the culture of our franchise, as this issue did, they will be dealt with swiftly and strongly.”

I am all for the NFL doing whatever they can to curb cheating by teams in the league. The NFL is still investigating Deflategate. Will there be more fines and draft choices taken away from the patriots or will Commissioner Roger Goodell cower to the almighty Patriots and their owner Robert Kraft? What are your thoughts on teams gaining a competitive edge?

And that’s…as I see it!
