Bulls Not Afraid to Face Cavaliers in Playoffs

Despite losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers 99-94 yesterday, Chicago Bulls’ center Joakim Noah would love to face the Cavs in a seven-game series. The Bulls kept the game close despite Cleveland hitting 16 three-pointers including a 52 foot shot by Kyrie Irving to beat the shot clock and J.R. Smith falling out of bounds with a defender on him as the first half buzzer sounded.NOAH JAMES

Noah has had a long running feud with the city of Cleveland and its star Lebron James dating back to James’ first tour in Cleveland. In 2010, Noah ripped apart the city of Cleveland in the following statement.

“You think Cleveland’s cool? I never heard anybody say I’m going to Cleveland on vacation. What’s so good about Cleveland?”

The Bulls’ veteran center was his feisty self playing aggressive on both ends of the floor. Noah said obscenities towards James and even slapped James on the head as the Cavs’ star drove the lane. He even added more fuel to the fire about how he feels about the city of Cleveland.

“This is a great place to play basketball. Other than that, there’s not much else to do. But when you get onto that court, it’s a great place to play basketball. That’s as much love as I’ll give to Cleveland.”

Hey, at least Noah said Cleveland was a great place to play basketball. If the season ended today, the Bulls and Cavaliers could face one another in the second round and what a great series that would be. It would have all the intensity of the Eastern Conference finals, but would appear much sooner. No matter which team would make it out of that series, I would bet against them making the finals because they would be so mentally drained from their second round series.

So don’t screw this up for us, Chicago or Cleveland, by losing in the first round because Noah really wants this matchup to happen.

“It would be very, very exciting. It’s something I really hope happens. This is a great place to play basketball.”

And that’s as I see it!
