Could Chicharito be Joining Orlando City of MLS?

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez is unhappy about his playing time for Real Madrid where he is on loan from Manchester United. There is speculation that Orlando City would love to land the Mexican international Chicharito to appease their Latin-American fanbase.chicharito-eye-candy-10

Chicharito is not the player he once was when he debuted alongside Wayne Rooney for Manchester United in 2010. Still only 26, Chicharito has also gained interest from English Premier League teams Everton, West Ham, Stoke, and Southampton.

After falling out of favor at Manchester United, Chicharito signed to play a full season on loan at Real Madrid. He has made only one La Liga start with such talented players ahead of him such as Christiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Gareth Bale. In 13 games as a substitute in La Liga, Chicharito has scored only three goals.

Lack of playing time has hurt Chicharito’s confidence and frustrated him.

“My situation is frustrating. I cooperate, I help and give my 100 percent in training but in the games the opportunities are slim. I’m in a team but left out of what is important, which are the games. At times my confidence is rock bottom although I try for it to be sky high. Thanks to the people that are always there with me and support me.”

I still believe Chicharito feels he has more to prove in Europe before moving to the states and joining MLS. Hopefully, he can find a team in the English Premiership where he can regain his confidence and earn more playing time on a team that is not loaded with superstar strikers.

And that’s as I see it!
