Dallas Cowboys Should Remove Frank Clark From Draft Board

Former Michigan defensive end Frank Clark was brought to Valley Ranch last week as one of 30 draft prospects the Dallas Cowboys are evaluating. This occurred in the same week Clark reached a plea deal a in regards to a domestic violence incident last year in Toledo that led to his dismissal from the team.frank clark

Clark had the charge pleaded down to disorderly conduct, had to pay a $450 fine, and has to undergo counseling for a year without issues to demonstrate good behavior.

There is no doubt Clark fits a need of the Cowboys and could help their pass rush, but I think he should be removed from their draft board.

Jerry Jones is already dealing with backlash over the Greg Hardy signing last month. I am all for giving people second chances, but the Cowboys have had a good run drafting players known for their high character Sean Lee, Travis Frederick, and Zack Martin come to mind.

Drafting Clark will increase the questions surrounding Hardy and Clark’s past mistakes. If the Cowboys are serious about making a Super Bowl run, they will cross Clark off their draft board and find other quality players to draft who are known for being a “high character guy”.

And that’s as I see it!
