Ronda Rousey Packs a Punch With Her Words Towards Floyd Mayweather

Not only is Ronda Rousey the most dominant female to ever step into the octagon as a UFC fighter, she also is very patient and very clever with her words. After receiving an ESPY Award for Best Fighter, Rousey used that platform to get revenge on boxer Floyd Mayweather for comments her made about her more than a year ago.Ronda-Rousey-

Rousey beat out many other individuals, including Mayweather, and used the red carpet to throw a punch with words towards Mayweather. When asked last year what he thought about Rousey, Mayweather said, “he didn’t know who he is.” In response, Rousey had this to say.

“I wonder how Floyd felt being beaten by a woman for once. I’d like to see him pretend not to know who I am now. I know for damn sure he knew who I was. He was running against me for Best Fighter that year and he had signed MMA fighters, so his feigned ignorance was really meant to be a snarky remark to me.”

The female UFC champion said she had been waiting for the right moment to get revenge on Mayweather.

As I said, she demonstrated incredible patience waiting this long. Rousey continued ranting to reporters.

“I don’t let those kind of things slide, but I’m also a patient girl. I’m not the kind of chick you make snarky comments about. I waited a whole year to say something. And you know what? If I didn’t win Best Fighter this year, I would have waited two or three years.”

Her next fight will be in Rio de Janeiro on August 1 and, apparently, Rousey’s comments also were used to promote the event against Bethe Correia.

“It got a big reaction and I got a fight to sell. So great timing, huh? I’m not dumb.”

My respect for her as a fighter and person just increased immensely. I mean who doesn’t know Ronda Rousey? You have to be living under a rock, and we all know that is not how Mayweather rolls. Incredible fighter, smooth talker, and the woman cleans up well. What is there not to like about her? August 1 can’t come soon enough.

And that’s as I see it!
